College Readiness

This component of the Pipeline focuses on leveraging the resources and assets of a local college to improve the K-12 experiences of local students. This is accomplished through offering services in the Four Corners of K-12 Success.

Four Corners of K-12 Success

Direct, supplemental programming and early college courses to students

Helping teachers develop a stronger repertoire of curriculum and pedagogy to become more responsive to student learning needs

Providing leadership training to Principals to help them better organize and manage their schools

Supporting and coaching parents to help them understand the gauntlet that is applications, obtaining financial aid, as well as a host of critical behaviors to model for their children to aid in literacy and math skills.

Our Process

The Pipeline executes the model through the assistance of select partners who have vetted and expertly designed tools to carry out the specific pieces of this work. For example a Diagnostic tool from Harcourt Houghton Mifflin may be a school’s chosen method of understanding comprehensive need, while the services of National Training Network may be the selected partner for math instruction improvement. Capacity Building may be guided through a partnership with the Achievement Network who can assist with strategic implementation while the Pipeline itself will conduct evaluation on the services committed in ways that offer reflective understanding of how to improve year to year.
